How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying star Nick Jonas headed to the studio on February 19 to record an EP of selections from the hit Frank Loesser revival. The new recording will be released by Broadway Records on a yet to be announced date this spring. Six-time Grammy nominee Robert Sher, who produced the revival's Grammy-nominated cast album, will also produce the new EP. No track list has been revealed.
The Broadway revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying opened on March 27, 2011 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. The original cast album featured original cast members Daniel Radcliffe and John Larroquette. Jonas assumed the role of J. Pierrepont Finch January 24, succeeding Radcliffe and Glee star Darren Criss. The production currently features Beau Bridges as J.B. Biggley, original cast member Rose Hemingway as Rosemary and Michael Urie as Bud Frump.
Jonas is best known as one third of the pop group the Jonas Brothers. He has appeared on Broadway in Les Miserables, Beauty and the Beast and Annie Get Your Gun. He will make a guest appearance on TV’s Smash February 27.
